With the attempt to sign Christopher Samba hanging in balance,Wenger has decided to bring his team mate Phil Jones to North London.This must be in an attempt to add up some English blood to the team.Arsene Wenger had two earlier bids of £8mn and £10mn for Samba turned down by Blackburn Rovers.

The 19 year old Jones has caught intrests from Arsenal and Liverpool.Wenger stated earlier that he would consider buying only tall players. The 6 foot 2 inch center half is exactly what Arsenal need after an awful season in the back
