Since I wrote my One for the Future piece on Henri Lansbury, I’ve been in contact with someone who says they are involved in the Arsenal youth system, and they’ve assured me that Henri Lansbury will return to Norwich next season to try to help them stay in the Premier League.

After playing a large part in ensuring Norwich gain promotion, it’s believed Paul Lambert has asked Wenger if he can return there next year and Wenger is seriously considering it.

If i’m honest I can see this deal happening, and even calls I’ve made to other more reliable sources also reiterate that Lansbury may return to Norwich.

If Henri can get 30+ appearances for Norwich next year in the Premiership, rather than sit on Arsenal’s bench then that is great for him.

It’s believed that Arsene is currently assessing the situation with Lansbury as to whether he is ready to slot into the Arsenal first team or needs another year on loan. Rumours are he’ll feature heavily in the pre-season tour and Emirates Cup and then Wenger will make his decision.
