On the second day of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain as an Arsenal player, a midfielder and a centre back are today’s players linked with a possible move to Arsenal.

According to Italian website Tutto Mercato Web (in Italian), Spain’s Juan Mata is one of the most wanted players during this summer’s transfer window. The article believes that Juventus and Arsenal are both ready to make a move although the player’s agent insists that the 23-year old will stay with Valencia after they turned down an offer made by the Gunners and now that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain joined, a move is indeed unlikely.

But, almost two months ago we asked our readers to give a first opinion on the Spaniard and his results were impressive: more than 1,600 positive votes.

In other news, Mirror Football reported two days ago that Arsenal target Scott Dann is determined to stay at Birmingham even if they were relegated at the end of last season. The 24-year old is according to reports one of the many centre backs wanted by manager Arsene Wenger with Bolton’s Gary Cahill another one heavily linked.

Incidentally, we asked our readers a first opinion on Dann as well and his results were far from impressive as he only collected 345 positive votes.
