A left-back and a defensive midfielder who play in France are today’s players linked with a possible move to Arsenal.

According to Italian website Calcio Mercato Web (in Italian), the Gunners have identified Lyon’s Aly Cissokho as the one to replace Gael Clichy on the left wing. It seems the 23-year old is available for £12m and according to Metro, he is a proven performer on the big stage, with Champions League football on his resume after a stint at Porto.

In other news, The First Post reports that Rennes’ Yann M’Vila(left, in photo) is a target for Arsenal. The 21-year-old is compared by some to Patrick Vieira but even if the interest was real, he is unlikely to leave the French side as Rennes general manager Pierre Dreossi insisted that the player is going nowhere.
