Once again it seems Barcelona players feel they are qualified to talk on behalf of Cesc Fabregas, this time saying pretty much what we already know, but that still doesn’t mean he can say it.

Xavi speaking to Sport.es when asked about Cesc Fabregas said;

The boy wants to come. It would be a great player for the team, but the problem is money. It costs a lot because it is very good.50 million euros. Now the club isn’t at its best economically. The problem is money, he wants to come and we want here.

As I said, it’s all stuff we pretty much know already, but the fact that more and more Barcelona players talk on behalf of Cesc is irritating as hell.

If Barcelona where 100% serious about making this deal happen this summer, they should tell all their players just to keep it shut at let the 2 boards do what they do. If Barcelona can get the money, the deal is done, that’s a fact. If Barcelona can stump up £50m (note thats NOT Euro’s) then he’ll leave Arsenal this summer to join Barcelona.

One thing is for sure, reports that Inter Milan are preparing a £50m bid won’t get anywhere. It’d be interesting as to whether the club would accept it hoping that it would hurry an offer of equivalent from Barcelona, which I doubt it would. Barcelona won’t be rushed because they know that Cesc will only ever play for 2 clubs, so they don’t need to fear he’ll leave for anywhere else in the meantime.
