There is a very strange report today saying that Arsene Wenger is keen to bring the ex-Arsenal midfielder Sebastian Larsson, who has just been released by Birmingham after the Midlands club were relegated.

Larsson spent two years at Arsenal before going to Birmingham (originally on loan) but only made three starts for the Gunners,so it is surprising that the People reports that Wenger is hoping to take the Swedish international back to the Emirates.

They reckon that Wenger is willing to let him return on the understanding that he will only be a squad player, and if he’s looking for first team football then he will have to look elsewhere.

Considering the amount of quality midfielders that Arsene Wenger has at his disposal, I would be extremely surprised if Larsson got a game at Arsenal, no matter how much he has improved.

Unless of course Wenger is looking for cheap replacement for Samir Nasri or Cesc Fabregas, lol!
