He’s back. After being heavily linked with a move to Arsenal last summer, Phil Jagielka is back dominating the headlines but will he be the one?

According to The Daily Mail, the Gunners have indeed “rekindled their interest” in the Everton centre back. It seems, however, that the Toffees are reluctant to sell the 28-year old who has a market value of £10.5m. For sure is that Arsene Wenger desperately needs to sign a new defender, ideally one who knows how to position himself when set-pieces are to be faced.

In other news, Italian website Tutto Mercato Web (in Italian) believes that Torino’s Angelo Ogbonna is wanted by Arsenal, Everton, AS Roma and Napoli. Also a centre back, the 23-year old plays in the Italian Serie B but was so impressive that he was called by Italy’s manager Cesare Prandelli last month for the friendly game against Ireland.

According to the article, Torino will only sell the player if they receive an offer of £9m after they turned down a £7m offer made by Serie A’s Napoli.
