A very talented winger and a 28-year old English centreback are today’s names linked with a possible move to Arsenal.

According to The Daily Mail, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger sent one of his scouts to Brussels for Belgium’s European Championships qualifier against Turkey so as to monitor the 20-year old who unfortunately failed to impress as he was substituted in the first part of the second half although other reports believe the youngster would be the one to replace Samir Nasri if the Frenchman leaves.

In other news, Metro believes that Birmingham’s Roger Johnson will leave his club during the summer transfer window with Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur both interested in signing the 28-year old who is apparently available on the market for £7m.

The defensive department is again the position the Gunners need to strengthen this summer after Arsene Wenger admitted that he was disappointed with all the goals conceded by his squad with more and more goals conceded from set-pieces, a serious problem at the back.
