A midfielder who according to Denilson would be perfect for Arsenal and a strong 24-year old defender are today’s names linked with a possible move to Arsenal.

According to The Sun, FC Shakhtar Donetsk are ready to sell Willian Borges da Silva for £4m and Denilson with Arsenal’s midfielder, ironically, confessing last month that he would be delighted to have his friend at Arsenal. According to the report, the 22-year old is ready to move to England and the Gunners are interested in his services.

In other news, Goal.com reports that manager Arsene Wenger is interested in Birmingham City defender Scott Dann with Liverpool also monitoring the player.

Last week, former Arsenal midfielder Paul Merson mentioned the 24-year old as a player the Gunners should sign to strengthen the defensive department which could ultimately be the reason why his name is linked with the club.
