Fabregas subject to £50m bid from Inter to rival Barcelona

We were all thinking that the Fabregas rumours would be nonexistent this summer after Arsene Wenger fought off the Spanish giants last summer, but the latest developments seem to suggest that the Arsenal captain will be leaving the Emirates after all.
Barcelona would have been hoping that they would have a clear run on Fabregas after he announced that he would only leave Arsenal to return to his home-town club, but the People reports today that the Italian giants Inter Milan are prepared to go as high as £50m to persuade Wenger to let him go to Italy instead of Spain.
It seems certain that Inter are going to lose their influential midfielder Wesley Sneijder to one of the Manchester clubs this summer, and the Inter owner Massimo Moratti will be loathe to let the Dutchman leave unless they can get Fabregas in as his replacement, and are prepared to outbid Barca’s derisory £35m offer.
They also say that Real Madrid would be prepared to enter the bidding as Jose Mourinho would love to keep Fabregas out of Barcelona’s clutches, and it is also certain that Wenger would rather sell to anyone but the ever-tapping-up European champions.
