Bendtner still ‘calm and confident’ about his future

With rumours and speculation surrounding the future of the Danish striker Nicklas Bendtner at the Emirates, Bendtner himself has come out and issued a statement declaring ‘he is definitely 100% going and leaving Arsenal this summer’.

One can only imagine the sound of the cheers of delight reverberating around the Emirates already by the majority of fans who have voiced their opinion on the Danish self believer. He is seen as a disastrous flop for the Gunners and many have come to wonder why Arsene Wenger is so consistently defensive of him when the majority think he should’ve been out the door long before now.

Bendtner has issued a statement saying: “I can promise that there won’t be another season like this one, I have decided 100 per cent that I must leave Arsenal. I’ve considered this for a long time and was quite clear when I arrived at my decision. I’m quite calm and confident that I’ll be fine at a new club.’

The self confessed ‘greatest striker in the world’ has been, to many Arsenal fans, the greatest flop in the world on the rare occasions he’s been played, with his failure to score when clean on goal against Barcelona in the closing stages of their Champions League tie was seen as the final nail in his Arsenal career coffin.

A number of top European clubs are apparently interested and monitoring the player including Juventus, Milan and Lazio, Bayern Munich and also Sevilla although with a price tag of £12 million it could be just more delusion from this player and his father/agent Thomas Bendtner. Arsenal may have to drop their supposed valuation of him due to his inconsistency when he makes an appearance on the pitch.
