Barcelona to offer young star in Fabregas deal sweetener

It looks like Arsenal fans are going to have to endure yet another summer of speculation about Cesc Fabregas, and looking at most of the comments on this website, most of us are heartily sick of it all.
But that doesn’t stop the daily outpouring from the media, and today’s rumour from the Daily Mirror reckons that Barcelona are going to try and sweeten their bid for the Arsenal captain by offering Wenger a ready-made replacement in Thiago Alcantara as a part payment.
The 20 year-old is extremely talented and has represented Spain at all levels from U16 to U21, but with the wealth of midfield talent at the Nou Camp has only made a few appearances for the Barca first team, even though he has been very impressive when given his chance.
If Fabregas also joins the Spanish giants then Alcantara will drop even further down the pecking order and will just have to leave to get first-team football in the near future. The Mirror reckons that Wenger is likely to consider a deal of £40m plus Alcantara for Fabregas, as the youngster has perhaps as much potential as a young Cesc at that age….
If Cesc is going to leave anyway, who thinks he should take Alcantara as part of the transaction?
